UNIVERSAL USN SHIRT
DESCRIPTION
The N-3 Utility Shirt is a meticulous reproduction of the standard-issue workwear developed for the U.S. Navy’s N-3 Utility System in 1943. While the blue chambray was the shipboard icon, the N-3 in Olive Drab 7 (OD7) was engineered specifically for the "Seabees" (Construction Battalions) and amphibious units serving in the Pacific Theater.
It provided essential camouflage and protection for shore parties operating in dense, tropical environments.
Constructed from high-density cotton poplin, this version replicates the original "Tropical" weight specifications. The tight, plain-weave broadcloth is breathable yet resilient, offering natural wind resistance and a crisp hand-feel that dries quickly in humid conditions.
The design features a functional double patch pocket configuration, a simplified utility detail engineered for quick access in the field. With its signature boxy silhouette and reinforced flat-felled seams.
