DESCRIPTION

Based on the original German Army Trainer developed for the Bundeswehr in the 1970s, the GAT has become an enduring classic far beyond its original purpose as an indoor military training shoe.

With the V3, we drew on everything we learned from our previous versions to create our most refined interpretation yet. The goal was to stay as close as possible to the proportions, character, and simplicity of the original military pairs, while improving the overall construction, comfort, and durability for everyday wear.

The silhouette has been carefully reworked, with subtle adjustments and signature Universal Surplus details that give the V3 its own identity without taking away from the original design.

Available in two colorways, the classic white version, developed to sit even closer to vintage German military pairs, and a new full black version.
