NBC PROTECTIVE SMOKE JACKET
DESCRIPTION
Issued during the height of the Cold War, this British Army NBC MkIII chemical protective smock was standard issue for troops preparing for nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare scenarios. It was designed to be worn as an over-garment, layered over the standard uniform in hazardous environments.
The pullover construction features an attached hood for full coverage, a large front pouch pocket accessible while wearing gloves, adjustable cuffs, and a drawstring hem to limit air and particle ingress. Built for practicality and speed of use, the design prioritizes protection and functionality over comfort or aesthetics.
