GERMAN NAVY LINER REWORK JACKET
Originally used as the removable inner liner for the German Bundeswehr navy cold weather parka, this piece was designed to provide warmth and insulation under extreme maritime conditions. While never intended to be worn as a standalone garment, the liner’s robust fleece and quilted cotton construction made it a reliable cold-weather essential for German military personnel throughout the late 20th century.
We have fully reworked the original liner into a standalone jacket — re-cut and finished with a new front placket, button closure, and reinforced seams throughout. The hood was kept intact, and a new tonal chest pocket was added using vintage military cotton. The result is a lightweight yet warm everyday jacket with structured volume and tonal contrast detailing.
Each jacket shows minor wear and military markings inside. A Cold War utilitarian layer, transformed into a modern silhouette with unmistakable surplus character.
