US FIREFIGHTER TURNOUT JACKET
DESCRIPTION
Originally produced by Body Guard for American fire departments, this vintage turnout jacket was engineered as a protective outer layer for demanding field operations. Built from heavy cotton canvas in a vivid safety yellow, it was designed to remain visible in smoke, low light, and harsh weather. The surface shows real service wear that speaks to its history and authenticity.
The jacket features the traditional hook and ring closure system used on mid to late twentieth century firefighter gear, reinforced pockets, articulated sleeves, and a corduroy collar that adds comfort and insulation. Its generous cut allowed it to be worn over uniforms and equipment while maintaining straightforward functional proportions.
