DESCRIPTION

Introduced in 1965 as part of the U.S. Army’s Cold Weather Field Clothing System, the M-65 Fishtail Parka was developed as a protective shell to be worn over the standard field uniform in demanding climates. Rather than serving as insulation on its own, it was conceived as the outer layer of a modular system, designed to be combined with additional thermal components when required. The extended fishtail hem could be fastened around the legs for added coverage when stationary, while maintaining freedom of movement in the field.

Constructed from durable cotton fabric, this version is offered as the outer shell only. It features a concealed zip front with snap closure, two large front pockets, and adjustable cuffs for a secure fit. The oversized cut allows for comfortable layering underneath, while the elongated back panel and drawstring waist emphasize its functional, purpose-driven design.

(B) Chest: Measured from one armpit to the other.

(C) Back: Measured from below the collar all the way down to the hem.
