DESCRIPTION

Originally issued to the Swedish Army, this model features a rear buckle designed as an integrated waist adjustment system. Soldiers could easily tighten or loosen the fit by a few centimeters without tailoring or relying only on a belt, a practical solution in a conscription army where uniforms were reissued and needed to accommodate many body types.

The system also supported seasonal layering. Wool base layers in cold weather or lighter wear in milder conditions could be accommodated simply by adjusting the buckle. Combined with suspender buttons and a high rise, the trousers stay correctly positioned under field gear while maintaining a clean, structured silhouette. Practical engineering defines the design, which is why the proportions still feel balanced and relevant today.
